FUN-D-RAISERS:
Some Fun for You and Funds to help those in poverty

With the current economy the requests for help by families in crisis are stretching the resources available to the maximum.  To help promote the needs of the clients as well as to promote the program's needs for financial as well as material donations, Neighbor Sharing with Neighbors in Crisis is coordinating several events to raise funds.  For details, please go to the 'Event Calendar' to the left:

CHANGE FOR POVERTY RELIEF - This month long event raised $180.00 to help families in poverty in 2009.  In 2010 we started earlier and hope to see even more participation than last year.  In 2009 Sisters on a Mission was the largest organization/business donor brining in over $150.00 in pennies.  Thank you Dorothy Dukes for helping our own Wayne Dukes (SSSI) wrap all of them.  Other business participates included members of the Sussex County Interagency Council and Curves of Milford.

We thank all our participants for collecting pennies to help others less fortunate and hope that this year's campaign will have even more participants and greater response so we can serve those who are in need for the basics for life, home, school and the holidays.  "Change for Poverty" campaign will end April 30th with delivery of the donation within the first week of May 2010.  Change donations do not need to be pre-rolled, unless you want a receipt upon delivery.  Otherwise we will count them and notify you with a receipt about your total donation as soon as we get them counted and rolled.  Hope to see you with your pennies the 1st week of May 2010.

BACK TO SCHOOL PROGRAM FOR TWEENS, TEENS & elementary students living in the homes with highschool children.

VOLUNTEERS ARE ALSO NEEDED
FROM JULY through SEPTEMBER 15th, 2010

DONATIONS OF SCHOOL SUPPLIES
ARE NEEDED STARTING
JUNE 1, 2010
Through the start of school

Many schools are starting as early as August 15th.  We need at least 2 weeks to prepare bookbags and get them to the families so your early donations are desperately needed.

Due to the overwhelming demand last year, (over 400 full-service bookbags and 125+ homework kits) we have very little to start with this year.  Without your early donations we will not be able to help those who are in need this year.

Call for more details about being a donor or sponsor.
